I discover Katty Xiomara in Paris last season (SS 2012) and i didn’t become a big fan. The installation mixing art, dance, music was very interesting, but the show and the outfits doesn’t retained my attention. I was not a big fan of the baby doll-like style, neither the shapes nor the colours please me, too naive.
Back in Porto, i learn (i already know in fact, but forget it) that Katty Xiomara is a big name in Portugal. I also discover that apart from selling in her own boutique (rua da Boavista), she also sell at Muuda (rua do Rosário), one of edgy women shop in Porto. So i decided to join the team to see the show for AW 2012-2013.
For me the show was like sliced in two parts, the first reminds me Paris show (but for winter), the second part all in dark blue and black was more interesting, especially the tops, short coats, blouse and caps…
Collar and shoulder pad and the big buttons are a bit « sixty » in their design (reminds me Courrèges or Cardin).
Why for God sake the little knots on collar or necklace?
